Anonymous asked: thank you I understand it a bit better now :) Are SATS/ACTS done by people all over the USA (at the same time, same paper etc.) or are they arranged by the school?

I never took ACTs so I’m not quite sure about them but SATs are offered every month from September to June I believe. They test the same general information but the questions can be worded differently to prevent cheating or unfair advantages. They are usually taken the same day for one session. For example, if you take the SATs in October, there is a designated day that month that everyone around the country takes them. They are separated into ten sections and take a couple of hours. SATs test reading, math, and writing. You can take them as many times as you want but they are around $50 per exam day. I took them three times, which I believe is the recommended amount.

  1. sadofeye said: ACTs are about the same, except they test you over math, science, reading, and writing (although writing is optional). And I never took the SATs, but the ACTs are timed and you only have like a minute per question.
