What I want to know most about this book is the process behind it. Sophie Davidson has put together a fantastic sequence and the deftness with which each image flows on to the next is a joy. Not only that but someone, somewhere – I’m guessing Oliver Udy at Antler Press – has produced a beautiful object. It’s bound in recycled card with that beautiful pulpiness, flecks of black and blue across the grey, and with a letterpress front jacket. Whomever did the layout has really hit it on the head, too, and the images are arranged excellently on the page.
